These vibrant quilt-like constructions beautifully bridge two distinct contemporary craft media – wood and fiber. In the tradition of the quilting arts, I create colorful sculptures using traditional and contemporary patterning. Channeling past generations of quilters, I repurpose discarded remnants that are deeply embedded with meaning and transforming the detritus into a fully realized art form. And much like their fabric counterparts, I hope to create works that offer comfort, beauty, and hope.
