I am a nationally recognized, award winning artist and teacher.  Each of my workshops are tailored to the skill level and age appropriateness of the participants.  Creativity, personal narrative and experimentation with materials are the focus.

With over 15 years experience teaching as a National Board Certified Teacher in elementary art education and higher education experience, I am able to present dynamic lectures and hands on workshops to your group, organization, or school.  Recent organizations that have hosted my workshops include the Kentucky Artisan Center, Fuller Craft Museum, New Jersey Berry Basket Quilters, Philadelphia Senior Center, Sharon Massachusetts School District, Wellesley Massachusetts Public Schools, Lock Haven University, International Quilt Museum, and the Boston Society of Arts and Crafts. Please contact me directly for more information.

For the past year, I have taught part time in Nahant, MA. As an art teacher, I strived to introduce lessons that were adaptable for students of all ages, abilities and strengths. Quite simply, I believe that every child can learn and be successful when properly guided, authentically encouraged and joyfully inspired. The visual arts are a vehicle in which every student can learn and flourish because the arts are an expression of one's self, a mirror to the soul. I know that art is the mediator that extends across the boundaries of age, ability and culture. Studies have shown that a comprehensive arts education builds cognitive abilities, self-esteem and problem-solving skills, which makes for a well-rounded individual.
